This appears to be the case, based on the FIFG survey of over 1,300 women. The respondents were asked about their relationship to cosmetic surgery during the month of June 2018. Among the operations acclaimed by ladies, breast modification comes first.
This surgery represents 49% of the interventions performed this year. A spectacular recovery for an operation which represented less than 10% of cosmetic surgery in 2002. At the time, the interventions were more diverse and only the nose correction seemed really popular (18% of operations).
In 2015, it was estimated that 400,000 women had breast implants, 80% of which were for cosmetic purposes.
