There are different tensioning threads. The principle is to introduce threads under the skin through a small incision under local anesthesia and to tighten the skin by hanging it by its depth. They are especially used for the oval of the face, resize the cheekbones and the eyebrows and tighten the neck; they can also be used for other parts of the body such as the inside of the arms or the buttocks.
The tensor threads are absorbable or non-absorbable.
The nonabsorbable threads look like surgical threads and contain small bards to hook and hold the dermis. Beard ™ or Elasticum ™ thread, silicone thread surrounded by a polyester veil.
The absorbable threads use cones or balls of absorbable polylactic acid which will retain the skin and create an additional layer of new collagen by absorbing (collagen I). We talk about biostimulation of collagen. Their absorption stimulates the production of your own collagen, these tensor threads are well tolerated (SILHOUETTE SOFT®).
If you have an oval of the face already damaged after a significant loss of weight or quite simply after 40 years, one can also raise the eyebrows and the temples, level the cheeks and tighten the neck a little.
12 days to 18 months. Absorbable threads have the advantage of being absorbed, so that a few threads can be replaced every year.
How does the laying of tensor threads for facial rejuvenation at the level of the face or soft lifting take place?
Cleaning the skin is essential, then apply a mild antiseptic and an anesthetic cream. We decide with the patient the orientation of the tensor threads and we draw on the skin with crayons (like a child), the orientation of these threads which are very precise then 3 small points of local anesthesia and small incisions go allow the wires to be introduced in a rectilinear or L, or U, or V fashion. Then the wires are cut. As a rule, count 2 threads per cheek and 2 threads per side of the neck.
Complications (well laid son)
They are exceptional. Perception or even exteriorization of a non-absorbable wire that will be removed. In fact it is important to accept having a modest result in terms of skin tension. It is not a surgical face lift but there is no scar. The ideal is the oval of the face slightly sagging, or raising the cheeks, or in maintenance of a face lift.
The oval of the face is smoothed and the slight rise of the cheeks creates the effect of facial rejuvenation.
Of course there are limits to the technique if the face is too relaxed, it is necessary to opt for a surgical facelift such as a cervico facial facelift or a neck lift which alone will redistribute the volumes and rejuvenate the face for several years.
To lay wires, do not take aspirin or anticoagulant 10 to 15 days before laying, it is obvious.
What is the budget for non-surgical facial rejuvenation using tensor threads?
1500 to 3000 € will be necessary depending on the number of areas to be treated and the number of wires to be implanted.
