Vulvovaginal and perineal surgery is aimed at all women who have sexual problems linked to vaginal distention and loosening of the perineum following poor childbirth.
This intervention can be carried out after a period of 6 to 12 months after childbirth; This period will have been used for healing and perineal rehabilitation. However, when the lesions are significant, rehabilitation may not be sufficient.
Surgical tightening of the vagina and perineum can perfectly be carried out in a woman who still wishes to have children. If a new pregnancy is planned within the year, the intervention will be postponed until after the birth.
